Rectifiers For Chromium Coating

Chrome plating is a critical and delicate process. CAEV designs and manufactures specialized rectifiers to achieve the best results in efficiency and penetration.

High-performance devices are:

  • LC filter cells for optimal smoothing of the output current
  • “Inrush current” device

For hard chrome plating, the rectifiers are equipped with:

  • Electronic polarity reversal with automatic cycle: anodic strike – plating
  • Adjustable voltage rise ramp
  • Closed-loop water cooling for higher power rectifiers
  • We manufacture rectifiers of any power with currents up to 30000Adc.

  • Power transformer compliant with IEC standards
  • Thyristor-controlled rectifier circuit: six-phase connection with reactor, three-phase bridge, twelve-phase
  • Output voltage and current adjustable from 0 to the maximum value
  • Adjustable ramp for output voltage and current rise
  • Constant voltage and constant current regulation
  • 1% stabilization of the set values for load or supply voltage variations
  • Output current ripple smoothed with LC filter cell according to customer specifications
  • Manual controls on panel front or in remote control panel

  • Remote PLC control with opto-isolated signals… 0-20mA, 4-20mA, 0-10Vdc
  • Remote PLC control with Modbus or Profibus serial connection
  • Forced air cooling

  • Cabinets painted with epoxy paints
